Raed Bawayah – France/Palestine
Raed Bawayah was born in a small village next to Jerusalem in Palestine. In 2004, he obtained his photography diploma from Musrara school of photography and new media in Jerusalem. Then, he moved to Paris with an art residency at the Cité des Arts where he worked and lived until now. His work has been exhibited in many different places, Visa pour l’Image and Les Rencontres d’Arles in France, Kunst museum and Solitude Academy in Stuttgart, House of Photography in Moscow and Paris, Empty Quarter gallery in Dubai. Aside from photography projects, he also works as artistic director for cultural events, and exhibition curator.
Philippe Deblauwe – France/Belgium
Philippe Deblauwe is the founder and Co-Manager (together with Eléonore Prévot-Corlieu) of Picturetank, the Cooperative Photo Agency based in Paris. Picturetank started in 2002 as an experimental non profit organization, the structure gradually evolved into a photo agency, and in 2007, became a co-operative. Picturetank forms a unique observatory of contemporary tendencies in documentary and artistic photography. The agency represents over 102 independent photographers and 12 collectives or sister agencies such as Argos, Luz Photo, Kameraphoto, Ostkreuz, Ruido, SubCoop, TerraProject, Transit…
Monica Suder – Germany/USA
Monica Suder works with the international photographic community as a creative and career coach, consultant, lecturer and panelist.
She brings to her multi-cultural practice well over 30 years of professional experience in the U.S and Europe. As an editor, she worked at Magnum Photos, Time-Life, Rolling Stone, and other publications in the US. Suder has been a juror at the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards in London and she has been reviewing portfolios at the Rencontres d’Arles, in New York City, and San Francisco for many years.
Yulia Tikhomirova – Italy/Russia
Yulia Tikhomirova is an Italy based Russian photography curator. She worked for several years as correspondent for a German-Russian newspaper and later moved to Bern, Switzerland to coordinate the Russian editorial office of the Swiss Radio International. In 2010 she earned her Master’s Degree in Photo Editing from the Rome Luiss Business School. Tikhomirova is CEO and founder of YarT Photography, a cultural association, promoting photography and providing resources for the development of documentary photography, photojournalism and fine art. Tikhomirova is in charge of a long term curatorial project FRESH! Young Italian Photographers.
